See what people say about Sparkle Arts.
Our children have gained a lot from Sparkle Arts they really enjoy it, it has increased their confidence and helps to promote their concentration spans. My staff feel that all age groups benefit from the classes from aged 8 months to 5 years.

“Imogen has loved Sparkle Arts and we will definitely be booking up for the next term. There is a fantastic mix of music, dance, role playing and activities with new themes every week, which keeps them entertained and mummy enjoys her cup of tea and biscuit at the end of the class!”

In January and February 2013, Primary 3 and Primary 4 at Parsons Green Primary School undertook a programme of expressive arts led by Sparkle Arts. Previous to this, Sparkle Arts had led a multi-arts workshop for our pre-school nursery group. The multi-arts programme was based around Social Studies topics undertaken by these classes; Primary 3 studying The Egyptians and Primary 4 studying The Vikings. Initially, I was very impressed with the preparatory work. Dayle Connell met with the class teachers in December 2012 to discuss the areas that the classes would be studying. Following these meetings, Dayle provided a detailed plan outlining each lesson within the series. All lessons were matched to Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes. The sessions enabled children to experience music, movement, drama and art linked to their topic. Dayle Connell and her assistant Jennifer planned and prepared meticulously, using music, materials, visual aids and artefacts to inspire and motivate the children. However, there was great value added to other curricular areas. The workshops generated great discussion and all children were positively vocal about the experience. Our Support for Learning Teacher commented on how the workshops had motivated reluctant writers to write about their experience. The sessions concluded with a workshop for parents. This enabled parents to observe their child’s experience and the value it added to their education. The Sparkle Arts experience was evaluated by pupils, staff and parents and it was an overwhelming success. I would recommend Sparkle Arts to schools and nurseries without reservation. I look forward to welcoming Sparkle Arts for further sessions in 2013/14.

“I've been coming to Sparkle Arts with my daughter, Grace, for about 18 months now. In this time, she has grown from being shy in group settings, to thriving on getting involved and being around other children. For her third birthday, we held a Sparkle Arts party on the theme of fairy princes and princesses, held jointly with her best friend. The team were exceptional about all aspects of the party, from making both children feel equally special, to bringing the magical theme to life in a community hall on a rainy Saturday.”

“First of all thank you for a great in-service yesterday – lots of inspiration and great ideas for teachers to take forward. Some of the teachers must have been raving about you as the teacher who just works one day a week, was in today and asked for a copy of the hand-out – she’d heard about your in-service yesterday and was really sorry she’d missed it saying it sounded really great!”
Lorraine Richardson, Head Teacher, Prestonfield Primary School
"Rachel attended Sparkle Arts during 2009/2010 and loves the variety of activities - dancing, music, story and role play. She looks forward to coming to the classes every week. The topics are good fun and mum has learnt a lot - especially about the flags of the world!"
Louise Hamilton, Parent
"We chose a Sparkle Arts party for Hugo's 3rd birthday because he had always enjoyed the regular classes. We wanted a (Disney) "Cars" theme and Dayle and her team produced a bespoke party that was fantastic and all the children loved."
Caroline & Angus Stewart, Parents
"As a private nursery we offer Sparkle Arts classes to our toddlers and pre-school children, both age ranges thoroughly enjoy the classes as they are adapted to suit each age range. The resources used are fantastic and keep our children interested for longer periods of time."
Michelle Moyes, Manager, Little Hawthorns Organic Nursery
"My daughter has attended Sparkle Arts classes for over a year now and I feel she has benefited greatly. I have noticed a difference in her confidence and social skills as well as a distinct improvement in her co-ordination. Above all the classes are great fun........ for both of us!"

My twins have been addicted to Sparkle Arts classes since I signed them up last summer. Every week has a different theme that uses songs, actions and props to get the message across but with several songs and actions repeated each week to give the children the repetition and familiarity they crave at this age. We love the excitement of finding out what the new theme is each week and there is plenty of variety to keep boys and girls equally happy. My daughter Isla has loved the "butterflies", "dogs" and "love" classes, whereas Duncan's highlights have been crawling round the room being a polar bear and dressing up as a fireman for the "What do you want to be when you grow up" class. The teacher Jennifer has boundless energy and really gets the children fired up in the magic of the topic and keeps their attention for the full class - not an easy task! This allows me to either join in with them or sit at the side with my newborn and watch.

"My daughter, Carys and I have enjoyed going to Sparkle Arts parent and child classes since she was 18 months. Now 3 1/2 she still loves them. The themes are fabulous and very informative - too informative at times as Carys wants to go to Africa now to see the lions and all the animals she learnt about at the Africa themed Sparkle Arts class! Dayle and her teachers have a special quality that captures the interest of children and engages them throughout the class. The classes are magical, and a sheer delight and as a parent it is great that I can still join in the classes, as many pre-school classes are child only from 3 years old."

"The children here at Annandale love Sparkle Arts. They are always really excited for their next session and adore Sarah who is always very enthusiastic and upholds a positive atmosphere. The children love all the dancing and dressing up and enjoy learning about the various themes each week.’"
Manager, Bright Horizons - Annandale
“The children in the nursery absolutely love doing Sparkle Arts every week. They often ask “when is Sarah coming?” even on days when she is not due at the nursery. Some of the parents have even told us that the children talk about Sparkle Arts all the time at home and that Sarah is “wonderful” when the children mention her. We have had Sparkle Arts coming to the nursery for quite a few years now and it has always been a favourite extracurricular class throughout all the different age groups.”
Manager, Bright Horizons - Rutland.
“The children at Links Nursery love the Sparkle Arts classes, Sarah is so energetic and enthusiastic and this rubs off on the children. As a parent it is wonderful to see the children so engaged in an activity that they clearly get a lot from. My daughter adores Sparkle Arts and especially loves the props! My son is always bursting to tell me what he has been up to during his Sparkle Arts class.”
