Together, with the help of ‘Harry the Horse’, this class will teach children all about life on the farm, including the very important daily jobs of the farmer. Children will learn various animal noises, ‘The Farm Song’, and listen to real farm animal sound effects. Sheep and horse masks together with photos, toy animals and tractors will allow for a genuine farm experience.
In this class children gather together to pack their suitcases for a long journey to South Africa. Children experience “The lives of the Zulu people” by learning the Zulu handshake, taking part in a Zulu rhythm exercise, and helping to wash clothes and carry water buckets on their heads alongside the Zulu people. Zebra and giraffe masks help disguise children, as they go on their very own safari, to meet ‘Leo the Lion’ and his other friends on the plains of South Africa.
The Chinese New Year is the biggest holiday celebrated among Chinese People, and your child will learn all about their festive celebrations. They’ll discover the importance of a small red envelope filled with ‘lucky money’, and will help decorate imaginary homes with flowers, red lanterns and paper decorations. Following this, children will head to the shops to buy a feast for all their family and friends to enjoy. And of course, no Chinese New Year would be complete without a dragon dance and parade, and a magical, colourful, explosive firework show.
It’s springtime, and today’s class teaches children about the flowers, animals and wildlife we see during springtime in the U.K. Children will learn how to fly a kite, perform a bunny dance with their bunny masks on, sing a springtime song, and fill their picnic baskets for a lovely afternoon in the springtime sunshine.
It’s Valentine’s Day, a time to share a card, a hug and a kiss with that special person in our lives. During this class, children will explore who they love, what they love, what love means, and how we show people we love them. The children will love giving ‘The Love Teddy Bear’ a hug whilst playing ‘The Love Teddy Bear Game’!
During this class, children have the opportunity to celebrate the New Year once again. Children learn how different cultures from around the world choose to celebrate a traditional New Year. Children also learn about the different months of the year, and the changing seasons.
A basic understanding of colours, shapes and numbers is fundamental to all children. With the help of the rainbow song, colourful props, scarves, bouncing balls & building blocks, this class will encourage children to think and learn about colours, shapes, and numbers.
“O flower of Scotland, when will we see your like again, that fought and died for, your wee bit hill & glen…”. Robert Burns takes children on a Scottish adventure, where they’ll learn all things Scottish such as highland dancing, the origins of tartan, Hamish the highland cow, the deliciousness of haggis, and the infamous bagpipes.
In this class, children learn all about the U.S.A., from flying the star spangled banner to learning all about the American Bald Headed Eagle. They will take an imaginary flight on the Bald Headed Eagle, visiting various cities including New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
"When I Grow Up", explores the different types of professions children aspire to. "When I grow up I want to be a scientist… a footballer… an astronaut… a chef". These are just some of the suggestions that the children propose! In this class, children have the opportunity to dress up in their favourite work uniform, and act out the different responsibilities of those, all very important, job roles.

Our Sparkle Arts weather girl takes children on a stormy adventure to learn about all different types of weather. During this class, children learn how weather changes with the seasons. Get your umbrellas at the ready, and wellie boots on, for some imaginary puddle jumping. Take a run and skip over the rainbow, pack a bag for the beach, and build a snowman. Play the parachute weather game in an action packed lightening adventure!
“ Today we are going to the jungle…but not just any jungle…the Amazon Rainforest!” Taking inspiration from images of the Amazon, children go on an imaginary journey to the rainforest to photograph creatures and wildlife. Can you find a poison dart frog? The deadliest anaconda snake? A toucan or a squirrel monkey? Learn to crawl, walk and jump like these amazon creatures and make the sounds of the rainforest at night. A jungle adventure to remember forever!
“Welcome to the magical butterfly garden…”. Today’s adventure takes us on a journey from a wriggly wiggly caterpillar, hiding in a cocoon, into a beautiful, glorious butterfly. Children learn about the species of moths & butterflies that live in different climates around the world. We sing” I’m a caterpillar, wriggle with me” and dress up in beautiful wings to allow us to fly around the garden and dance with our butterfly friends.
In this class, children learn about Saint George, the patron saint of England, and the capital city of London. With the help of a large inflatable globe, children will understand exactly where England is located on the map. As they wear their St. George’s hat, and wave their English flags, children will play a game of follow the leader, as they go on an open bus tour around the capital city of London. They’ll enjoy performing a bow or curtsey to the Queen at Buckingham Palace, ringing Big Ben, and a trip on the London Eye.
“Listen, listen... what can you hear? “Buzz, buzz, buzz!” What can it be? Who has come to visit you today?” ‘Mr Bee’ leads children on an adventure in the magic garden, where they meet a whole range of animals and creatures. Children become tiny seeds and grow into sunflowers, and create a beautiful butterfly from a caterpillar’s cocoon.
‘Polly the Parrot’ teaches children about different types of birds that live all around the world. Children create an imaginary flying machine covered with magic feathers. Once on board they go on a journey around the world to meet birds of different colours, shapes and sizes, including penguins in Antarctica, & the colourful toucan of South America.
Children learn all about fruit & vegetables, and the importance of “5-a-day”, then how fruit & vegetables are grown, and the process that takes them to market. Children share what their most favourite delicious fruits are, whilst learning the different ways in which they can be eaten.
Time to learn all about man’s best friend. This is a great class for children to share their own personal pet experiences from home. Children learn that not all dogs are pets. Many dogs have to go to work. Sheep dogs, police dogs, rescue dogs, and blind dogs are all part of the learning experience in this class.
“An elephant goes like this, like that, he’s terribly high and he’s terribly fat. He has no fingers, he has no toes, but goodness gracious what a great big nose!” Do you know the difference between an African & an Indian elephant? We teach children never to forget the wonders and magnitude of the elephant & their natural habitat.
It’s time for a Sparkle Arts sports day. Children have the opportunity to put on their football kits (of their favourite football team) and develop their football skills, whilst attempting to score a winning goal. Children learn how to throw, roll and catch with different sized balls, enjoy a game of golf & basketball, as well as get their rackets ready for a spot of tennis.
It’s time for children to get ready for an imaginary day out in the sun. They’ll learn the importance of covering up in the sun by wearing sunscreen, a sun hat, and sunglasses. By wearing their sunflower hats, children will enjoy creating and playing music in the sun, whilst learning all about the flowers and animals that we see during summertime. Featuring ‘A Summertime Song’ and a trip to the beach, this class will be one to remember.

“Yo Ho Ho!..Come aboard the pirate ship me hearties.” In this class, children find out it’s hard work being a pirate! Life aboard a pirate ship is very busy! We must climb the rigging, scrub the decks, fire the cannons and follow the map to find the hidden treasure! But you had better behave or else Pirate Pete will make you walk the plank! A pure imaginary adventure sailing the seven seas, full of fun, laughter and “Yo Ho Ho's!!!"
“Are you ready? Five, four, three, two, one… blast off!” With the help of a spaceman costume and an imaginary spaceship, children take off on a journey to outer space. Here they learn all about the earth, the moon and all the different planets that exist in our solar system. Children will enjoy floating on the moon’s surface before boarding the ship to safely return to earth.
Who has come to see you today? It’s Max the monkey! He’s a chimpanzee and he has come all the way from Africa to take you on a swinging monkey adventure. Children learn about the different types of monkeys and apes around the world. The silver back Gorilla, hairy Orang-utan, naughty Vervet monkey and cheeky Chimpanzee are just some of the monkeys covered in this class. Through role-play children become monkeys and learn how they live, move and communicate with their friends.
Children learn the different types of Tigers that live around the world. Whilst wearing their tiger masks, children will embody the movements of a tiger as it prowls for food, jumps, climbs trees, and swims in rivers. Using factual images, we teach children about tigers and their teeth, fur, size and hunting habits.
Mr Badger climbs out of his burrow, and visits our class to teach children on the colourful season of autumn. Children learn how the colours and smells of the countryside change at this time of year, and that some animals get ready to hibernate for the winter season ahead. We use orange, red and yellow scarves for our “falling leaves” dance and learn the autumn song.
Make sure you have your swimming kit and goggles with you, because today we’re going on an ‘Under the Sea’ adventure. During this class, the magical rainbow fish introduces children to all her mystical sea friends including Sally the Seahorse, Christopher the Crab, Steve the Shark and Derek the Dolphin. With the help of an under the sea mat, children learn about the different types of sea habitat. Songs, seashells, sea creatures, photos, sea masks and fact books ensure children learn about life under the sea.
Polar bears, Koala bears, Panda bears, Brown bears - What type of bear will we find on our travels today? Get your cameras ready as we visit Australia, Alaska, The Arctic & China to learn about the wonderful world of bears. Children dress up with bear ears in this class, and are inspired on their journey by wonderful factual flashcards, as we travel around the world in a magical flying time machine.
Cars come in all different colours, shapes and sizes, and people need cars for different reasons. Learn how to drive a car, and understand traffic lights in our traffic light game. Children learn about road safety and enjoy being a lolly pop helper for the day!
“Help! Dial 999 – a cat has got stuck up the tree!" There is a house on fire and the traffic lights are not working!!! Today, it’s time to learn to call 999 in an emergency, and the importance of never dialling 999 without good reason. Put on your fire fighter uniform and policeman’s hat, because today we need to help people – FAST! We sing "I’m a fire fighter.“ as we save the day and finish the class by jumping over the fire hose! A fast paced action packed class!

Mr Knight has arrived on his horse to conduct a “jolly joust” in class today. We explore life in an ancient castle with the added excitement of saving the princess from a flying dragon!
It’s time to learn about the coldest season of the year, WINTER. Using imagery, we learn about hibernating winter animals, how people and wildlife stay warm, and the weather during winter months. Your child will role-play a prickly hedgehog, an arctic wolf, a snowball fight and an ice skate in the park.
“ Hocus pocus alacazam!” Celebrate Halloween at Sparkle Arts. Today we go to witch & wizard school, where we learn to fly on broomsticks and create magic spells!
Penguins are on parade at the South Pole, whilst the polar bears are stomping in the north. Come with us on a magical adventure to the “Ice Worlds”, where children learn about Arctic wildlife, and the people who live in the freezing climates of planet Earth.
The 3 kings follow the magical bright star to take gifts to baby Jesus. We re-enact the traditional Christmas story. Then, celebrate Christmas today by getting to work helping the elves in Santa’s grotto, and preparing all the toys for Christmas.
“ Stomp..stomp…stomp…” Here comes T–Rex the biggest fiercest dinosaur that ever lived! Today’s adventure is a dinosaur hunt, where children learn about the magical pre-historic creatures that lived on earth over 12 million years ago.
Freddy the Frog will teach this class about all things green including snakes, turtles, crocodiles, lizards, and alligators. With the appropriate props, children develop a greater understanding about these animals, where they live, their environments and natural habitat.
“ Pack a bag! We’re off to the zoo..” Everyone board the bus for an imaginary day at the zoo. Role-play all the different animals, have a picnic and waddle in the penguin parade. Fun animal dressing up in this class!
Birthday Party Themes.
Although all our party themes have some educational value, our focus is on fun! A child’s imagination is the best source of inspiration. So check out the example list of themes below. Don’t worry if you have a particular theme in mind and it’s not on the list as we have over 50 lesson plans avaialable. Let us know the theme, and if we dont already have that theme on offer, for an additional fee, we’ll create a bespoke party just for your little one. The party child and her friends are about to take the “real princess test”. Will they all pass? Are you a real princess? We have been invited to the Royal Ball at the palace but the palace is on an island so how will we get there? We need some brave Pirates to protect the princesses on their journey to the royal ball. Cross Crocodile River, pass the sleeping troll and brave the seven seas on this princess and pirate adventure.
Harry Potter or Room with a Broom will be the inspiration for this party. Learn how to fly on a broomstick, create magic spells and perform at the Annual witch and wizard award ceremony. A fantastic party full of magic and sparkle!
Its audition time! We are looking to create a band with X – factor! During this funky dynamic party the children will create and learn dance moves to audition for a global pop group. Once selected they will choreograph their world tour show for families and friends.

If you were a superhero – what would your magic power be? In this superhero party, the children will create their own imaginative story where heroes will rescue humans in trouble. They will learn different super powers and create an alias-human character.

Primary School Class Themes
Classes can be themed and structured to compliment the curriculum. Just tell us the subject matter, and we’ll build a program of classes that ultimately leads to a theatrical performance for an audience. It’s a great way to bring subject matter to life, re-enforce learning, and stimulate creativity and imagination. See some example themes below
A fun exploration of toys through the ages, beginning in the 19th Century. Through drama and movement we will bring toys to life from train sets, toy soldiers, rocking horses and dolls. The children will understand how toys have developed through the ages and are so different in today’s world.
An exciting Galactic adventure on-board our very own rocket ship. We explore the galaxy, re–enact life at a space station and choreograph a dance journey to the sun, moon & stars.
Using a range of improvised drama trust games and through dance, we educate children on the importance of caring for living beings around us. Improving social skills and working together as a group, we will develop a performance on the basis of taking care of our friends, family and the people we love the most.
Learning through drama, we explore the historic tales of Edinburgh Castle and create a magical performance of Ancient castle life. The children will work together, choreographing a battle enactment through movement and dance.
No child should have to put up with bullying or harassment of any kind. No – one should be made to feel bad about themselves or unsafe. In our new digital world, bullying has spread from the playground to cyber space. At Sparkle Arts, we use dance, drama and music to create a performance, which teaches children to take action to prevent bullying in the community around them.
The aim of this project is to bring countryside life into the classroom. Through a fun mix of dance drama and role-play. We educate children on where their food comes from and how it is farmed. We re-enact the busy life of a farmer and how the produce is taken to market.
Each lesson looks at different aspects of ancient Egyptian life. From working as a farmer, the pyramids and mummification, we create a fantastic final performance through dance, drama and music.
A project exploring Viking life. Build an imaginary long ship and a Viking dwelling, before choreographing a raiding battle dance, Sparkle Arts allows children to bring this historic subject to life through improvisation creating a fantastic final performance.
Through drama and dance, the children will become different body parts, from taste buds to toes, displaying how the body moves, breathes and functions. They will understand the use of our 5 senses and follow instructions from the brain. Our final performance is called “ Bodyworks”.
Through drama, music and dance, Sparkle Arts bring to life the Historic story of how Mary became Queen of Scots, her life in France, and her return to Scotland. The children will create a performance to portray her life at Holyrood palace, her multiple marriages, the plots against her life and the final act of her execution.
Classes covering many serious aspects of family life during WW2 beginning when the war was first announced on the radio, the declaration of war, the blackout, dealing with the blitz and evacuation. Bringing this educational history topic to life through performing arts.
Teaching children from an early age the importance of staying safe, at home and in the community. Through drama & role–play we re–enact real life situations where we need to learn how to prevent situations and what to do should they occur. In our digital world today, we also focus on staying safe on the Internet.
